Over the last few days I’ve spent a fair amount of time on my favorite driver message board, ClassADrivers.com and many of the conversations that I’ve participated in have dealt with finding employment. As I’m sure you’re all aware, some painfully so, the economy isn’t what it was even a couple of years ago. That certainly rings true for the trucking business.
All of those conversations got me wondering if there was maybe some area of the trucking industry that was possibly being overlooked in regards to finding a job. I just got off the phone with Trina from Oakley Transport. She informed me that Oakley is hiring for their citrus division in Florida. Drivers average 60-70 hours per week and are dispatched from their homes. That means the driver needs a safe location in which to park the tractor/trailer near home. Only 1 year of experience is needed and no special endorsements are required. There is one little monkey wrench, however. The driver needs to live in or very close to either: Lake Wales, Ft. Meyers, Clewiston, or LaBelle, FL.
You can contact Trina and Oakley Transport @ 877-882-6537 ext. 3508
